About Me

I have been working in costume production and design since 2008 and recently received my MFA in Theater Arts - Costume Technology from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. I graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 2006 with a B.A. in Liberal Arts, with concentrations in Theater, Literature, and Women's History, and briefly studied Fashion Design and Merchandising at Gibbs College afterward. While I am currently based in northern New Jersey, my work has taken me to various locations throughout the Northeast. Currently, I am working seasonally as a Cutter/Draper for Paper Mill Playhouse, and am available part-time for freelance and overhire work.
I am first and foremost a technician, but my combined background of technical experience and historical and sociological research also allow for a unique approach to design. Thanks to an undergraduate education steeped in the avant-garde, I have a particular appreciation for productions that are rough, immediate, over-the-top, and imaginative, and enjoy projects involving new work and emerging playwrights.
